Sledging again Tuesday

This Tuesday, I am proposing another sledging night from the Junction, Denshaw. More info at: http://www.saddleworth-runners.co.uk/content/tuesday-night-sledging

Frolicking in the snow

Another great night out in the snow.

With a driving cold wind and waist deep snow 10 Sadds set out from the Junction pub, Denshaw to explore the delights of snow covered Ogden area.

Pollybagging/sledging took place down an ice covered dam, with uncontrolable speeds reaching those similar to a Typhoon-Eurofighter. However, unlike the Eurofighter there are no ejector seats fitted to a plastic survival bag so it was impossible to bail out seconds before hitting one of the many frozen mole hills scattered across the dam wall.

I can personally assure everyone that hitting them at break neck speed is like being hit with a house brick! After two collisions with the said offending mole hills I have been left virtually unable to walk or sit down today. Oh the joys of winter fun!

Would I go back and throw myself down that ice covered dam wall, in the dark, just for fun again? ... To right I would!!

After the fun of sledging it was back to the Junction for a few beers and a good laugh.

Cheers Howard for suggesting tonights route. A great night.
