Local man wins Crompton Moor Mauler

Despite poor weather both before and after this years Crompton Moor Handicap, a very respectable turnout of 24 runners turned out for this new course. Despite spending hours having sawdust blown into my eyes while trying to lay a trail a number of members still went wrong (some had even reccied the previous week ;-)

The mass start saw Lee Bowden take a lead that he was to keep all the way home, though the handicap workings meant that local man Roy Bradley literally stepped out of his back-yard to win what turned out to be a very tight race.

First home in the ladies was the ever improving Gaynor, though the happiest lady by far was Tanya, who managed to stay ahead of hubby Nick, who was later seen tripping over his bottom lip ;-)

After, a splendid do at the pub, it's been a while since we have had so many Sadd's sharing an after race drink and food. Really to to se an array of Club Kit on show...some of which has been paid for!!

Next Club handicap is the Last Gasp 10K on the 27th September (a change to the advertised date)
