Junior champs 2012
Trying to come up with a junior champs for this year similar format to the adults. Anyone know of any good local races that I should include?
I'll post the list in the juniors section once it is finished.
Same format as the adults with possibly two age brackets (Don't want to get too complicated)

Great Idea. Some points for thought.
Its a great idea. I've just had a quick scan through the FRA Calendar and there appears to be a few that are closer to home maybe if you think parents may not want to travel to far? Especially as kids races are over and done with in no time at all. Unless parents are planning on running in an adult race too.
Having only two age groups may put some of the kids off competing? Even a two year age gap is a massive difference in ability for children. If the age gap is too great there would be little incentive for the younger kids in that category to compete, if they thought they had no chance of winning anything against older kids in their category. However, the issue with having the full age range categories is that you could possibly end up with some categories with no runners?
Even with the full range of age categories (12 month gaps) it shouldnt be too difficult to administrate. There would be more trophy's/medals to buy at the end of the championship series but the cost wouldnt be that much.
Just some points for thought anyway.
Keep up the good work Colin and Junior Coaching Team.

Thanks Col
This looks great. How many do you think they should have to do to 'complete' the championship - 4?
