February Night Run
This Tuesday 15th Feb is our night run from the Dysarts Arms Huddersfield Rd. (just 100mts up the road from the Royal George crossroads Greenfield).
The pub car park is tiny and I suggest we park at the spacious car park opposite the Royal George.
We aim to get going at 7.30pm so please allow for that 100m jog when parking.
As usual warm gear, fell shoes and torches are recommended.I have arranged with Amy the landlady for our regular post run fare at the normal rate.
Please try and stay for food and banter as it's so difficult to guess our numbers and so embarrassing if we don't get enough eaters! All very welcome.

THE JOURNEY
It will be a large loop of 6 miles or more if the fog is down maybe even 12
depending on compass skills and avoiding Tintwistle and 450 m +.
The run will start at the foot of Alphin, majestically under
under the full moon. And very soon you runners will face
technicality in order to enjoy the variety of these
plateaux and valleys.
Some sections of beautiful tracks (but short) will be preserved
to reach the most beautiful sites and you will be able to cast your
eyes to the valley bottom and see in all it’s glory the new Tesco vibrant
and alive with activity.
It will be a very varied course where necessary to Alphin
feeling of being lost in such a universe preserved.
And then back on the cornices of Chew Valley. A final
amazing even at night by the cliffs of Indian’s Head, Wimberry,
Stable Stones Brow, all gullies cutting into the plateau, the
ascending Charnel Clough, and the tempting waters of Chew Res.
Soup and rolls after.
Thanks Charlie for your tome
Thanks Charlie for your tome however I can't help but feel that my Tuesday runners will be too knackered to run once they've read that!

See you later
I will only be up to shambling gently by tomorrow. I'm still a little tired after the Anglezarke Amble on the weekend but will join you later at the Dysarts.
