Great Western is on your left after you pass through the Standedge cutting heading to Marsden. It has plenty of parking,

Arrive at 7pm for a 7.15pm prompt mass start to avoid a dusk finish. After food has been laid on for 15-20 people at £3.50 per head. Please do your best to stay behind for bite.

See attached map for the route. It heads along the Redbrook Reservoir dam, down the side of Pule Hill, across the A62 and down to Eastergate Bridge, up the bridleway to Millstone Edge then back down Thieves Clough.
Distance 9.7km. 280m climb.
Winning time expected around 45-50 minutes.

The route will be marked with sawdust.

It's not quite the same route as the reccy
We've cut a corner off. Instead of crossing the A62 and going down the tarmac, the route crosses the A62 earlier and goes down a set of steps. It cuts about 5 mins off the time.

Print off the map and you'll see where it goes. The map has comments alongside.
