Castleshaw Canter

Hi all.

Just a quick appeal for 3 helpers for the Castleshaw canter on Saturday.

I need 2 people for the 2 main road crossings (both early in the race so you will be done quickly) and 1 to help with timing. Any volunteers?

ALSO....RUNNERS: This will not be a flagged race so please familiarize yourself with the course before the day (I believe Howard posted a map on the forum recently).

And finally....Food laid on afterwards so please stay and support the pub and the organiser, who won't be able to eat everything himself unless he acquires a serious tapeworm infection by the day.

Start time at 10.30am

I'd like to say a Club Thanks to Andy G for the organisation of the Canter yesterday. If it wasn't for Andy picking this up from Gerry last year it would certainly have fallen out of the SRC social calendar. 30 runners showed that is is still a very big part of the Pre-Presentation day ritual and the food and prizes laid on afterwards was fantastic. Well done all who helped out

Road crossings

Thanks Jeff. Could you be at the crossing from Sandbed Lane to the stile at the foot of Lark Hill by 10.30? As no other volunteers perhaps when they are through, if you are driving you could zip up the main road to see them across the second crossing as they come off Lark Hill towards the old Horse and Jockey? Many thanks! Will have a high viz vest at the start if you need it (I will be there from 10).

Buffalo or buffalo type garment left in our car

Several people left gear in our car during the Castleshaw Canter. Someone has left a Buffalo or Buffalo type garment. If you are looking for it, we have it! Can't be without your buffalo! Just let us know. Andy G
