I recommend anyone reading the article should also read the debate comments below it. A lot of practical sense talked (and a few bits of gibberish). As someone who worked in the aid 'industry' for many years, it is a relief to hear some sense arriving in the business. Aid with an exit strategy....the benefits of Chinese investment....the ridiculous horror of so easily preventable water born diarrhea....and above all corruption and tax evasion by the middle classes in the 'poor' countries.
